The Mars Red on the website was a brighter hue of red than the one I received. I ordered from Decoboom because of the brighter hue so I was surprised when the one I received had a different appearance than the website. I'm still waiting to see if I'll like it on the Jazzmaster body I received from MJT.

I want to support small businesses, especially those providing niche products for hobbyists, but I can't say I'm all that happy with this pickguard. To start, it isn't nearly as red as the pictures led me to believe. The red tort looks more brown, to the point where I wondered if they sent the brown tort by mistake Not a big deal though, it still looks great.
Another issue is that the hole for the pickup selector switch is moved slightly from the location on the Player II Jazzmaster, and the pickguard couldn't be installed with the original switch. I had to buy a replacement switch from Switchcraft to make it work. Understandable though, the Player II is a relatively new release and Fender probably made the choice to move the switch location ever so slightly. Still a bummer to have to spend another $30.
What I really don't understand is the pricing. The look and quality of this pickguard doesn't seem to be any different than a run of the mill option that can be had half the price (or less). For roughly $80 some shielding on the back would be nice (like the original Fender pickguard has). I thought I was buying a premium product, but in reality it's pretty much the same as any other pickguard.
Overall, I'm happy to have supported the shop, but I probably won't buy another pickguard here.

I tried a few tortoise pickguards for my jazzmaster, and this red tort is by far the nicest I came across and it looks better than a couple I bought for more money. I am so happy!!! Thank you!!!

Absolutely love the new pickguard and very beautiful. Perfect fit and enhanced the look tremendously. Guitar is a Fender American Original 60’s Jazzmaster in nitro and so it needed an accurate pickguard in material and color. Hands down the best and I will definitely highly recommend. Fast shipping and great packaging.
