Les Paul Standard pickguard cut by CNC for a precise fit, engraved with our Rockets Away design on black/white/black acrylic. The artwork is deep engraved into the middle layer of the 3-ply material, providing a visual depth and durability that no printed design can match.
The design is manufactured by engraving acrylic with carbide-tipped steel bits. We start with a custom-made 3-ply acrylic, which we then engrave using a rotary CNC engraver. We set the depth of the tool to engrave down through the top layer, revealing the contrasting color of the middle layer. By engraving--rather than printing--we create a design with depth and contour that will last.
